Mr. Scott Adams is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the spheres of construction planning, preparing and defending extension of time claims, and retrospective delay analysis. He regularly acts as a programming / delay expert witness in arbitration and litigation in Hong Kong and across Asia and the Middle East.

Using his experience as a delay and programming expert, and with particular reference to relevant recent case law and technical publications, the speaker will examine recent developments in the areas of:

  • Extensions of time;
  • Construction programmes;
  • Delay analysis techniques;
  • Prolongation and disruption;
  • Liquidated damages

The talk will examine new developments and recent trends in these topics, and question whether the problems surrounding these issues are close to being resolved, or remain as difficult as ever.
