Sr Wu is a fellow member of the HKIS with degrees and master degrees in mathematics, computer science, e-commerce, project management, business administration, quantitative analysis and computational mathematics. He has strong interests in building information modeling, green building certification and development, quantitative analysis, risks management, as well as nurturing students and young surveyors.

He is currently the Council Member of the QSD and Chairman of the QSD BIM Sub-Committee.

The arrival of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to the construction industry is redefining the roles of professionals and its stakeholders.  This talk is to discuss how Quantity Surveyor can help to form an integrated and trust-based team for projects adopting BIM which covers:-

  • An introduction to BIM application for quantities taking off;
  • Current contractual issues of adopting BIM including Design Stage BIM Model, Project Execution Plan (PXP), Full Time Site BIM Team and Clash Analysis Report;
  • Introduction to BIM related documents including “HK CIC Building Information Modeling Standards”, “How to use BIM with NEC3 Contracts”, “JCT Supplement for BIM”, “Singapore BIM Particular Conditions” and etc.
