Francois Renard, an antitrust expert, who has close to 20 years of experience in this field including in the construction sector, and Georgina Ward, with more than 20 years of experience as a real estate lawyer, will summarise the major risks raised by the HK Competition Ordinance in the construction and surveying sector. They will explain the findings of the HK Competition Commission in its “Study into aspects of the market for residential building renovation and maintenance” of 24 May 2016. They will also show how the HK Competition Ordinance is likely to apply to the sector in Hong Kong, as well as identifying key issues that concern the sector and that will need to be decided upon by the Competition Tribunal.
