詳情 :

As global policies and environmental issues dominate the minds of the decision-makers, the industry has now become more demanding for project costing in this modern era. Not only public and corporate clients, private clients today also look for different cost tools to meet with stringent rules in complying with regulatory measures in their development. Intangible values represented as benefits long exist in our project costs, and cost-benefit analysis has long been used in the industry, but yet its application seems to be limited to public projects. In analyzing the literature relating to cost benefit analysis, the speaker attempts to provide an economic perspective of cost-benefit analysis and its unique significance of social costs for the human well-being. Some key issues that are important in cost-benefit analysis but are seldom noticeable in the preliminary stage of project planning are identified in the analysis.  Together with illustrating cases of cost-benefit analysis, the talk means to provide a review of the application of cost-benefit analysis.
